Finance Against Security Systems

About the Client

The client is the financial services arm of a Rs.39 Billion Group in India . Their products and services include vehicle finance, capital market finance, mutual funds, securities broking, depository services, insurance and distribution services.

They have a significant presence in a range of products and services and are one of the leading holistic financial services providers in the country. The Company is pursuing aggressive growth in its various product lines and expanding geographic coverage to leverage its customer base.

Challenge

The required solution would be used by external agencies involved. So, security, the data entry and integration of this data to the flow of information were critical. They required the system to adapt to their specific workflow.

A lot of emphasis was laid on turn-around time of application and the external agencies commission was tied up to efficiency. Hence the system had to be robust and reliable with minimal downtime and provide strong MIS.

Solution

Solution from Indus was the Finance Against Share Securities (FASS) system on Visual Basic (VB), Microsoft Transaction Server (MTS) and Oracle architecture.

The solution supports the growth plan of the organization in terms of scalability, functionality and technology and serves as a foundation for future Customer Relationship Management (CRM) initiatives. It also helps pass on these benefits to its customers, improving customer relationships and delivering excellent customer service and allowes all possible controls and locks to ensure that vital interests are safeguarded.

Indus ' role in this project included coordinating the non banking financial company's Systems Design Department, developing Test Strategies, providing “Go Live” support and overall project oversight.
