Indus joins TmaxSoft’s growing roster of ISVs
Date: October 19, 2017

Indus set to target UK market as it moves off Oracle to Tibero as its database application of choice

TmaxSoft has signed the Indian-based ISV Indus to its growing number of software partners now running their applications on its Oracle-compatible database solution Tibero.

Indus is a leading provider of software solutions focused in areas of retail and corporate origination, loan management and collections and has been rapidly expanding in its native India. The company is now setting its sights on the UK market and the technical partnership with TmaxSoft forms a critical part of that.

TmaxSoft has been in the UK market for a number of years and during that time it has been signing up companies in the independent software development sector in the UK as well as existing international software providers with a presence in the UK market. TmaxSoft has long argued that ISVs have a unique opportunity to migrate from expensive and complicated licensing agreements traditionally associated with the likes of Oracle.

TmaxSoft has a portfolio of mission-critical enterprise software, which includes the Tibero relational database management system, a secure, fully-compatible SQL RDBMS that scales easily and conforms to today’s cost optimised cloud architectures.

Prashant Kaikani, Vice President Sales Europe, Indus, stated: “We partner with best of breed technology suppliers to deliver exceptional solutions for the banking, finance, telecoms and risk management markets. With more and more systems struggling to cope the today’s growing data needs, there is a very real and present need for solutions that address not only performance but efficiency as well. Every company wants to reduce costs; but to do so without sacrificing the tools to drive their business forward.

“For many organisations, replacing their Oracle database would reduce licensing and maintenance costs. However, many believe that the potential development time, staff training requirements, and ultimately change costs, tie them in to their Oracle database. This doesn’t need to be the case as we are demonstrating through our partnership with TmaxSoft,” he continued

Tibero is an Oracle-compatible database that gives users the freedom of choice to retain their investment in both people and technology, with the same expected levels of performance and familiar interface. The only differences are the more agreeable costs and flexible licensing terms; without the risk and expense associated with changing to any other vendor or open source.

Not only does Tibero’s core technology enable high productivity and operate with stability during peak levels of demand, based on a time scale of five years, users can enjoy cost savings of up to 60 per cent compared to other existing commercial DBMSs in the market. With our innovative technology, we are beginning to make a big impact in the UK market and beyond as this new business relationship with Indus proves.”

First developed in 2003, Tibero was designed for large-scale enterprise environments. Through efficient resource utilisation, Tibero ensures optimal performance even when processing large data loads. Tibero active-active clustering technology can be highly scaled out to support increasing workloads and user numbers. By applying shared disk based clustering technology, it provides seamless and reliable services with various tools that enhance the productivity for new solutions development and system operations.
